We develop, manufacture and sell an ultra-trace viscometer, which requires the world smallest amount, 2 μL, of sample liquids of low viscosity, a couple to several mPa?s. This high sensitivity is due to a resonance mode measurement adopted to monitor the shear stress of an oscillating unit which is in contact to the sample liquid.
This viscometer can monitor the broad range of viscosity from 0.5 to 147,000 mPa?s of simple liquids, solutions and particle dispersions. The operation of the instrument is simple, automatic, and takes short time, ca. 3 min, by an easy-to-use program after injecting a sample liquid to the sample chamber.
The shear rate can be varied from 1 to 10,000 s-1. The temperature control unit (5 to 100 ℃) is available as an option.
